Daughters of a forest warden on a grand estate, the big-hearted sisters, Freya and Faye, grew up exploring the vast woodland and knew every tree, plant, beast and bird that dwelt there. They were all family. So when members of the family begin to go missing or are found injured, they realise the poachers have moved in, and the girls are filled with a fury they’ve never known before. It was time to fight back and that meant taking that fight into the night-time, where the poachers stalk.

They secretly set to work to save their friends…armed with their anti-poacher secret aprons, filled with anti-poacher tools, a little red first aid bag with ointments and bandages, – and a little bottle of skull capped poison (just in case the poachers don’t heed their warnings) and placing on their heads a garland of funeral pyre flowers wrapped around the skulls of forever treasured bird friends – to remind them of who they are making a stand for, and lighting their way with a candle in a jar, (covered with a muslin cloth to prevent the moths drawn to the flame from suffering scorched wings) – they pull up the hoods of their black capes and step out into the night…
